Macular Degeneration Tele-support

The Macular Degeneration Foundation’s Tele-support Program has been designed to help people with MD who are interested in presentations of topics relevant to Macular Degeneration and in need of peer support.

The program will offer one telephone support sessions per month for up to 25 participants and will last approximately one and half hours each.

The session will consist of a presentation on topics relevant to MD, followed by a question and answer time. Participants will also have the opportunity to share experiences, stories and contact information. The sessions start at 10.30am on the scheduled date every month.

The program aims to assist people with MD that are geographically isolated (live in a rural or remote area) and are unable to connect with a local vision impaired peer support group. The criteria to register and participate are that you:

1. Have Macular Degeneration
2. Are a member of the MD Foundation
3. Experience some vision loss

Places are limited, so please register early by calling 1800 111 709.
