Macular Degeneration is the leading cause of blindness and severe vision loss in Australia. MD affects one in seven Australians over the age of 50 and the incidence increases with age. It is often referred to as Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
By making a donation to the Macular Degeneration Foundation, you can help the Foundation to reduce the incidence and impact of Macular Degeneration in Australia through education, awareness, research, support services and representation.
The Foundation relies on support from Federal and State Governments, corporate sponsorship, philanthropic trusts and Foundations, private industry and members of the community.
All services provided to clients by the Foundation are free of charge, so your donation will be valued greatly. Your donation can help educate Australians about this disease, save a person's sight, or change the life of someone who is blind or vision impaired due to Macular Degeneration.
You can also make a donation directly to the Macular Degeneration Research Grants Program which funds vital research to find reasons and answers for this disease. Please specify if you would like your donation to help fund research.

You can make a donation over the phone with your credit card by phoning the Macular Degeneration Foundation on 1800 111 709 and speaking with one of our friendly staff.

Regular Donations
You can also choose to make a regular donation to the MD Foundation monthly, quarterly, six monthly or yearly. Your credit card will be charged with a designated amount at each period. To register to become a regular donor, please fill in the donation form and tick the appropriate box.
NOTE: All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible and a receipt will be issued for all donations. |
